    Hi guitar eXperts, iam bit weak in CHORD progressions. I have just learnt one or two CHORD progressions i.e.

    1) C - F - G7 - C
    2) E - A - D

    ok ... this is the normal prog ...
    i dunno if it is called Blues prog ...

    it is I -> IV -> V -> I
    in key of C major it means C -> F -> G -> C ...

    then there is JAzz prog which is ii -> V7 -> I
    which is Dm7 -> G7 -> Cmaj7

    then thre is 12 bar blues which goes eomthing like this I -> IV -> I -> IV -> V -> IV -> I
    which comes out as C7 (2beats)-> F7(2beats) -> C7(2beats) -> F7(2beats) -> G7(2beats) -> F7(1beat) -> C7(1beat) ...
    or the last 4 beats could be G7 (1beat) -> F7 (1beat) -> C7 (1beat) -> G7 (1 beat) ...

    then the minor prog .. .which goes like Am C G Em ... u cud play E instead of Em ... it sounds little exotic ...

    hey for this ... u just play lotsa country/rock'n'roll songs ... u will automatically get lotsa common progressions ... and yeah some pop songs too ;)
