Hey, that's how I learnt as well, first I just knew open chords, learnt from there onwards...and now I'm a composer and in my school band... Enjoy your stay.
yes! i also know a bit of practicals..but theoretical stuffs dont get into my brain...hehe!i also play with a band here...infact as a lead guitarist...not heavy rock tho..but slow rock stuffs!!
