go for the song HAMEIN TUMSE PYAAR KITNA YEH HUM NAHIN JAANTE. MAGAR JEE NAHIN SAKTE TUMHARE BINA.

it's dam romantic, yet not mushy.
easy chords. i play the whole song with 4 simple chords ~ Am,G,C,E.
    clean |d-du|dudu| strumming.
i think it's the right choice.
    + it's r.d.burman+kishore combo.
    u'll rock the party, dude.
tell me if u want the chords.

    congratulations.
    cheers

It is a really good suggestion. Hay paranoid13rohan, you can send me the cords and tabs for that, I will start practicing on that.

these are not the exact chords of the song.
i have altered it as per your request.
anyways the actual chords doesn't suit the guitar.
    those are made for keyboards.
discuss the fillers with your teacher.

If you have no problems with english songs, go for Boyzone's "No Matter What" or "When You Say Nothing At All".

    thank you 4 u kno what ;)

Talkjay83, you want to play and perform in 4 months, man thats very short day, i think you'll need an iron discipline to teach yourself to practise as much as possible, so i suggest every day!! I think it isn't impossible but very difficult, it just depends on yourself ( your talent) how to improve your guitarplaying day by day.
And ofcourse you'll need a good teacher, some others mentioned that aswell, so man i hope the best for you as i wish you good luck!

i think u could go for a crash course....like decide on wat songs u gonna play
so someone suggest some good song on open chords and EASY strumming cus thats the main problem when uve just started...coordination between ur left and right hand...then if ur gonna sing then thatll take a lil more time...i think 4 months is more than enough if u know what ur gonna perform

if u gonna sing something english might as well be knocking on heavens door its like G D Am; G D C and its reeaal easy strumming so no problem wit coordination there

but still if it's romantic, it'll be better like elton john's "the way you look tonight" or something like that.

pick 2 or 3 easy songs with ur teacher, practice hard everyday... but make sure that practice is focussed practice... its pointless just trying to play the pieces straight from begining to end, break them down into smaller more manageable chunks or phrases.
once u have mastered the easier parts of the song, dont practice them as much, focus more on the harder phrases.
use a meteronome to slow these hard bits right down until u get the basics right, then gradually build up pace and then try playing the piece altogether in one go at a slow pace then build it up...
by the time u reach the final pace of the piece, you should more or less know it by heart which will look good on your wedding day...
best of luck and keep trying :)
