hi guys , I m new to this angel ( guitar ) but I want to learn it badly ... these days i m getting problem from shifting from one chord to another .. my fingers doesn't seem to be onplace very quickly .many of problems I get solved here .Wish someone can give a solution of this also .
in my opinion, this problem's bang on solution is an easy 8 letter word i.e, Practice !!! if u put good amount of time in regular practicing exercise then after sometime you'll find urself switching b/w any frigging chord smoothly..so keep practicing wid loads of patience..oh thats another 8 letter word
Yeah, practise is the only remedy. Here are a few tips though.. 1)If you are new to guitaring try looking at the fretboard while shifting from one chord to another. 2)Try using progressions with just 2 chords at the beginning and gradually increase the no. of chords. 3)Whenever u make progresions say C,Am,F make sure you play all possible shifts like C-Am,Am-F,F-C,Am-C,F-Am,C-F coz shifting from both C to F and F to C both require equal practise. 4)As you get confident avoid looking at the fretboard at all. 5)Always try to place all the fingers of a chord simultaneously. 6)I'd personally recommend making mindless progressions like Eb,Bb,Ab once you get used to the basic chords (tougher the chords better your shifts get). 7)Always use a metronome so that you get used to making shifts in the right amount of time. Hope this wasn't too lenghty or anything.Best of luck with your "angel".
exactly..spider excercise for chord shifting? umm..but then its fine..it will help the coordination and finger movement/flexibility anyway @zicky aur tu ban hone ke mood me hai?
^yeah that's what I'm guessing too...so atul4friendz try spider exercises too...search for 'em at IGT.
^^^^hey what i meant that spider exercises willl give that necessary agility to your fingers which in some proportions will give a boost to your chord shifting motive:cheers:
