does anyone know of any good software or any technique by which a hard disk which is not openning can be salvaged?? whenever i try to open "d drive" they say "disk not formatted. do you want to format now" i say no. but then i fail to open D drive too !! how can i straighten the date at D drive and open the drive?? should i defragment it ? or what?
Use PC Inspector File Recovery Software... Its free...and u can recover data even if your partition is not detected or it gives msgs like its not formatted.. ty. from what i made of your post.. one of the first requirements would be some free space on my other drives to allow all that recovery to take place isnt it? i dont know how this partitioning is done, so i will use free space on another disk. ty.
