they used the strats possibly 80% of the time..but they still made metal,and they rule everything thats metal.Tht, through a fender strat.if they used the stock pups or no isnt an argument..even metallica would have never used the stock pickups on their esps.
Perhaps he may have used Jacksons and Seymour Duncans on some recordings here and there, I don't know. but I know that for quite a while his main stage guitar was his Dean Dimebag singature model equipped with active EMGs. I think he's switching towards ESP now. The guitar he used the most for recording Once Was Not was an Ibanez S not sure what model but it was also fitted with active EMGs.

Id say the S470 as well. Although im sick of tremolos...but the KH202 sucks balls...the RR3 is a shitty jackson most probably made in India and fenders are just ugh...
