Lot of IGTians have requested for this one and that includes me. This is what I have come up with. Have a go and see how it feels. Any suggestions/corrections are more than welcome.

Folks! I ran out of steam by this point! : I will try and finish the other half (the one which Chitra sings) when I get time (inspiration?). Maybe some body out there is inspired already and can complete it?

yeah indeed its a nice song .... female lead singer is chitra singh, jagjeet singh's wife.

Madhura, singer for Piya basanti is not Jagjit's wife chitra but a south Indian Singer Chitra.

I have not tried the chords yet will try them tonight, but there is definitely a C chord in the intro. I think.

don bothr abt the Gm.. it was jus a suggestion.. i told u.. i don remember the song xactly...

 

i think its southie chitra and not chitra singh who is the singer.

 

i might be wrong.... not sure though. But even chitra singh is a good singer and she has dones lotsa albums with jagjeet.

 

i dont think she sings any more.. after the death of her son.. sad. she was very good.

chitra singh stopped singing after her son died, i know that for sure.

 

It is Chitra (Bombay movie song - Kehna hi kya.fame.and may more hit songs). I had interviewed her once for my radio show and that is back when piya basanti was out and i had asked her to sing it live for us... Did you know that she couldn't speak hindi back then..i don't know about now but back then she wrote everything that was hindi in a south indian language and read it from there including the songs she sang.

 

It is good to see so many replies to the post BUT most are about Chitra! Thats fine as well BUT what about the chords that have been posted - Jay?
