power chords have only 2 notes..
violin and fiddle plays often play intervals of 3,4 and 5 on 2 stings simultanously..
listen to kaala kaala maga from punnagai mannan by ilayaraja for such a violin lead from an indian movie.

acording to many definitions, a chord has to be at least a triad.. but i dont know whats the strict definiton of a chord.. in anycase I myself treat chords or 2 note harmonizes or any-note vertical harmonies as the same.. they are just vertical intervals.

I am learning violin (western classical) and find it tough enough! I dont think you can really learn it by yourself. You really need to find someone who knows violin well enough to teach you.

    Hi friends,
I am a violin lover for its flexibility to play different sounds.
And for it being an instrument that can fit any mood.
And of course it is difficult to play. But this is an endless argument between guitar and violin.
