got a les paul standard copy for Rs 18000 from peter pereira

Vary veary sweet looking guitar.. I have personaly played 2 Peter perrera Guitars, one based on a Joe Sat Ibanez with a hard tail bridge, this guitar was brand new just a couple of weeks or days old and it played beautifully... The second guitar (a friend of mine got second hand) was a double fat strat again a fixed bridge.. amazing neck again.. nice switching. it had a 3 way mini toggel switch for each humbucker, that let you go switch from series, parrallel or simply turn of the humbuker.. sweet guitar too.... this second guitar i tired was a bit old and was not given that much care by its previous owner...

It's not just an LP. It's a really awesome LP! Looks better than an Idol imo

 

I never really got around to liking the bottom of the LPs. It's still a good looking guitar, but IMO the Idol kicks it's ass looks wise.

The bottom cut? thats the only thing different from a real Les Paul and i love it. I just love ESP Eclipse!

 

^ Yep the Eclipse is somewhere in between, but I fell in love with the Idol at first sight. I have the 64D, when I get more money I'll buy a Boogie Street Idol!

The washburn Idol, IMO looks better than the LP. BUT, the LP has that something the Idol will never have.

Not really. Any well made LP will have it. Regardless of who made it.

I think it has to do with the LP being such a classic.
