yayyyyyyyyy!!!! i finally got my les paul standard copy [actually slash signature les paul] from peter pereira - the total cost was believe it or not abt Rs 18000

basically i got the original gibson LP parts & gave it to john pereira & he put it all together - the result is just freakin awsome!!!!! see the pics - will try to post some sound clips in couple o days

for those who r interested this is the cost breakup + where i got the material:

gibson les paul tune-o-matic bridge - 2325 [furtados]
nickel plated brass stopbar tailpiece - 800 [albertos]
gibson les paul gold top hat knobs - 675 [furtados]
3 way switch - 300 - [albertos]
gotoh keys - 3000 [peter pereira]
gibson les paul 500k pots - 1000 [imported]
luthiers making charges incl padded case - 10000 - [peter pereira]

these r the specs:

body - mahogany back with maple top
neck - mahogany
fingerboard - rosewood
inlays - silver acrylic rectangle [i didnt want trapezoid]
alnico humbuckers [peter pereira] - he can give u seymour duncan for abt 5k
d'addario ultra slinky strings
color - desert burst
+ of course std lp specs
- 22 frets - he can give u 24 frets if u want
- carved body
- 24 3/4 scale length
- angled head
- bonded neck

the only catch is he has got a long waiting list - so if u can afford to wait about a year - u can get a freakin awsome gat for like an unbelievable price - if u want it faster the price goes up

trust me this gat beats the crap out of any yamaha/epiphone/ibanez that will cost u 40k or more - the fretboard is like silk and the finish is just perfect
