I own one. I haven't checked many but mine is awesome sounds far better than the cheap ass low end Ibanez, Epiphone and Yamaha guitars. Mine is a strat model with a vintage tremelo with HSS pickups. The pickups and strings are reasonably good for that price. The bridge humbucker has a great crunch. The action is pretty decent. Some pros have played my guitar and are impressed. It loses tuning like hell. That's the only problem I have with this guitar, so I am getting a second guitar just for the gigs. I dont want to tune on stage.
I heard the GB&a comes from the same company as Comet. Not sure about the validity of this news. Comet guitars are pretty good.
Are you talking about an acoustic or an electric bro? I play a Gb&a acoustic at my class and it sounds absolutely great. Rich tone and sound. I love it, very good. As for the electrics, i have yet to try my hand at them.
I have played on GB&a acoustic too. It sounds as good as a Yamaha. I own a GB&a electric which is awesome except for the tuning problem.
LOL nothing like that.. As a beginner, when i called up Hobner and got the customizations, I always loved it.. In no time i'm buying the Ovation so :
why ovation? and which one? I havent heard a single sub 1000$ ovation sound good. and its a myth that they do not cause feedback problems on stage... spend some extra and go for taylor or c j martin J
GB&a jumbo is around 6K and the regular sized on is 5.5K. I checked it 10 days back in Bangalore. It's pretty good for it's price.
i never liked any like even the 2000 3000$ ones.. i like teh C J martins and the taylors and the vintage gibsons.. u know the 5000$ + categories i go to guitar center acoustic room and play those for hours sometimes.. every chord sounds like an open chord.. when u play those.. the 800$ range martins and taylors are very cool. the 500$ range ovations not so cool in my opinion.. I got a 500$ dean exotica instead.. and the other guitarists who own the low end ovation feel my dean looks better (cool blue) and feels better. thats the one i am playing in the pic along with tom, which i posted somewhere.. yesterday..
