Try this freeware software called Super. It can encode decode many formats - including the dreaded .flv (youtube and google video). Ah it can also created animated gifs Here it is: https://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html https://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Video/Encoders-Converter-DIVX-Related/SUPER.shtml
I feel it totally sucks . For flv format use Riva Flv Encoder ( its free too ), i used to use super for flv's too , they quality was poor and it took too much space and didnt even Encode properly ( kafi rukh rukh ke chalta tha )
Quit everything, and download Mplayer/Mencoder if you want simply the best top notch decoder/encoder/transcoder. Super has a good GUI though (and lots of format support). Riva doesn't offer any advantage over the Mplayer/Mencoder and hence loses out. Plus it can decode/encode ONLY the flv format.
Abay lekin WHY would you convert .flv to some other format? .flv is highly compressed format using the h.263 encoding. You convert it to any format other than h.264 the file size WILL bloat and the quality will also go down. Its like converting your mp3s to WAVs.
^ Well Alfons is for one. : Otherwise he wouldn't have even thought of Riva. *evil laughter* *now runs for his life*
