I wanted to get Floyd Rose 2 point locking installed on my strat type guitar. Do you think it's possible to get it done here in bangalore. Will the guitar have to be routed again for the floyd cavity or can it be installed. And where can i get this done if you have any idea and how much would this cost.
u need to find a luthier... he will do this for u.... cost -depends.... now u don't get original floyd rose locking systems here but the luthier will manage to dig up something and charge u accordingly.... yes some work will have to be done on ur guitar but its safe if u get a good luthier.
Its a simple job! They just have to route it for the bridge. Any guitar builder/luthier can do it! Original Floyd Roses start at $200 not worth it.....just get a cheapo Ibanez bridge (good enough) or else there are millions of "Licenced" Floyd Rose bridges - cost between $40-$75. Hope this helps. do the conversion and you get your cost in rupees!
