i have this guy named ramon momcilovic who lives in birmingham.. he used to work in the burns guitar factory so he is an excellent luthier, six months ago i asked him to build a custom guitar for me based on the specification of my old gibson classic but with little "extras" ... today i got the delivery!!! yay!!! here goes the specifications: top: i chose my own flamed maple top for this guitar .. highly figured!!! body: 3 piece solid mahagony .. the best we can get from lumber yard neck: two piece mahagony fretboard: indian rosewood inlays: green abalone binding : body and headstock 3 ply ... neck 1 ply hardware: all gold pickups: gibson's "BurstBucker Pro" pickups with Alnico V magnets controls: 2 volume 2 tone and one 3 way selector switch ... electronics: on-board black ice preamp special: he couldnt do my signature on 12th fret so he did on top of my headstock ... the tone is just excellent ..even better than my gibson (on the bridge pickup) ... a dream come true...finally i have a figured top les paul P.S: dont mind ma goofy smile in the last pic... iwas so adrenaline rushed!!
i have to agree with scary on that one ... that is one good looking guitar  ... well u r one lucky guy dude to get ur hands on that sorta guitar ... that too all custom-built just the way u want it ... but just wondering ... how much did it come for ?????
the material costs added upto 350 pounds and ramon charged me 400 pounds for the labour and consultations... guess i'll be paying off ma debts for next 2 years now...
ok so that comes to 750 pounds for a guitar that is totally unique ... i ould say that's a small price to pay : and btw what's a luthier ???
^^ 750 pounds is a huge thing for me tho!! hehehe ... and a luthier is a craftsman who takes guitar building as a profession...
Really nice LP man! Nice choice in colour, hardware and that black pickguard : Any pics of the headstock?
