  1. tejas

    tejas ..........

The Intro to "The punishment due", not to be confused with the intro to "Holy wars".

The main riff of "Raining Blood"

The main riff of "God Of Emptiness"

The intro riff to "Seek and destroy"

    The intro riff to "Lateralus"

    Intro to "I, Voyager"

The riff in "Stinkfist" after the solo of sorts at 3:30.

    The riff in "Aqueous Transmission"

The riff in the verse of "H."

Thats all I can think of right now. Will add more if I think of anything else later.

hey on the talk of variety, ur collection isint a gr8 variety. u seem to be listenin to only Death Metal music by the bands that u have mentioned. true variety means listenin to music from many different genre's. if u listenin to Rock, Metal, Industrial, Rap, Grunge etc then tats variety and not just mentionin a few Metal bands names

yeah coolone u got it right ...
i actually meant variety in music ... not in just different bands ...

now what we come across is ppl who say that metallica was good only till the black album ... thats what is meant by not trying variety ... what was bad in Load and Reload ? ... it was just diff kinda music ... infact Kirk hammett even put Blues music into leads, licks and fills ...

i took up meagadeth coz if u analyse then Hangar18 (the leads) is very diff from a typical pentatonic lead that u get usually infact the song structure is quite diff (atleast it was way back in early 90s)

hey devilguitar: have you even heard of a dude known as Eric Johnson ... now thats something which is totally diff from the stuff u listen to ... even Dire Straits will do ...

and in no way can motorhead cover metallica ... metallica are one generation younger than motorheads ...

hey am pretty sure i dont have all motorheads ... but i guess it'll be more than what u can hear ... hahaahaaa ...
b.t.w. i guess u dont listen to motorheads also (pretty much expected) ...

and yeah "In Flames" is good ... but then they keep repeating their stuff in every song of theirs ...

im sorry to burst your bubble 6string.
as a matter of fact the original Metallica (with mustaine) used to put on Motorhead T-Shirts and play shows in san fransisco.
And enter sandman isint the only motorhead song covered
even damage case is a cover of motorhead.....

the way u are saying its like Joe Satriani Covers Steve Vai's songs

Im not sure if motorhead covered 'tallica's sandman or the other way around..
    My favourite riffs are
"Pull Me under" ..the intro with that amazing delayed patch.. love that tone..
"Vortex": Megadeth : I think it was the first time that dave used wah (atleast ive never heard him play!)
"arise" Sepultura (its the part before he says "ive seen the world dead" or whatever)
"ruin" Lamb of God (the very heavily PMd riff somewhere to the end of the song)
"the black label" Lamb of god
"Lucretia" the riff before the solo
"angel of death" Slayer (has anyone heard the cover by sepultura?)

And god knows how many else..
