It was far too "in my face" for me to like it. You do raise a very important issue though...even in India, the media literally feeds off other people's sadness. Even where someone has died, you'll find a camera in the room of the grieving capturing their sorrow and a million families all around the country going "awww" which sickens me since the mourners would probably appreciate the privacy of grief rather than the 2 minute sympathy of a thousand. Even on "reality TV shows", the in-thing, you'll find the audience virtually hoping to see the sad scenes behind the cameras where the entrant reacts to a defeat....or the masala of a battle of words, not unlike the streets where you'll find a circle of onlookers for every argument.
