second hand guitars -It totally depends on the first user and how he has kept his guitars.sometimes it might be bad sometimes good. second hand is good option if you have budget problem but you have to check out that guitar in depth. for blues i would also suggest a squier strat.
are s-s-s configs not good for rock/metal? ive been playing on h-h only and i know dat it rocks... wanna buy another guitar so shd i get a s-s-s or h-s-s i play a bit of blues too...
Depends. If you donot like bright and cleanish tone, you wont like single coils. Metal or otherwise. If you want, we can do a demo of single coil vs humbucker. Both on clean as well as overdrive.
well imho there are very people (i, fortunately, being one of them) who maintain their axe well lotsa ppl play rock and that form has been associated as much with playing guitars as with breaking them check out the thing urself before u commit if maintained well they can be a very good deal @everyone: this is a request to all. if u like someone's post or if you feel that sum1 is actually trying to help then please please take the pains to rep that person. nd no reading between the lines plz : @sendhil: as i wrote h-s-s gives you a lot of tonal variations but if u plan to keep the old h-h then u can opt for a s-s-s sometimes the bridge single coil comes in handy and you just can't simulate a single coil with a processor it never sounds the same i have a h-s-s but i don't really use the humbucker too much my rp80 gives a brilliant slash like tone from the single coil with the humbucker simulation nd the neck pick-up gives the cry wah a better range
thanks alpha1...i completely forgot about the tele....an absolutely beautiful guitar, and beautiful tone......absolute stunner for country and blues. the squier tele will come for 11k...and later on add a fender gold lace sensor at the bridge, you got a damn ***y and damn tone-oriented axe.... you should seriously give the tele a go...
I got one of my colleagues to buy a Squier Affinity Tele.Wonderful super bright tone, and great all maple neck. The neck lipstick pickup is pretty low output and creamy.Very good for rhythm and country work, ofcourse you wont get super thick heavy tones out of it.The pots and the jack on this one were pretty flimsy though.Try before you buy.
