This is one of Arindam's requests Its an extremely simple song to play for chords. And for those of you who have heard some nursery rhymes and kid songs This song is a beautiful lift by R. D. Burman from the classic KID SONG - IF YOU'RE HAPPY AND YOU KNOW IT CLAP YOUR HANDS The song is in A ============== MUKHDA ============== First time the full para is with single stroke on every beat Note: Play the chord exactly as per the syllable under which it is placed Ek Main Aur Ek Tu A---A-----A----A--E--E_E_E_ Dono Mile Is Tarah E--E----E--E----A_A_A_A_ Ek Main Aur Ek Tu A--A----A---A--E--E_E_E_ Dono Mile Is Tarah E--E----E--E---A___A_A_A_ Aur Jo Tan Man Mein Ho Raha Hai D------A-------E---------A---E--- Woh To Hona Hi Tha D------E-------A-------- ============== ANTRA ============== Yoooooon Nahiiiiiiiiiiiiii A----------A------------ Milte Hain Yaar Yaar Se D--------------------A--- De-eeeeee Mujhe-eeeeeeeeee A-----------A-------------------- Pyar Ka Jawab Pyar Se D------------------A------------- Dhadkane Hui Jawan Esus4----------------------- Waqt Bhi Hai Meherban Esus4----------------------- Phir Yeh Kaisi Dooriyan Esus4----------------------- Bolo Bolo Bolo Bolo Bolo stop A----------------------------- The Esus4 chord is 002200 When you play this part in the song, play a down-up arpeggio COUNT ========== 1-2-3-4-5-6- STRINGS NUMBER === 4-3-2-1-2-3- NOTES =========== E-A-B-e-B-A- Cheers
Question!! Hey Bandbaaja, I know that it is a bit too audacious for me to comment or question the chords you have provided for this song, but to me the chord sequence/structure sounds better with Ek Main Aur Ek Tu A---A-----A----A--E--E_E_E_ Dono Mile Is Tarah E--E----E--E----A_A_A_A_ and not when the end of the first line and the begining of the second line is in D. Could you please look into this? You are easily the boss of all guitarists atleast as far as this forum is concerned (with due respect to all the guitarists out here), and I feel really embarassed to come up with an alternative suggestion to your chord structure. However, as I was humming with the song (and also while I was playing with the original), E seemed to me as a better fit than D. In addition, while playing the notes of this song in the scale you mentioned, it is the note 'B' that comes in for the last part of the first line and first part of the second line, which would actually fit to E instead of D. I can be seriously mistaken, and thus I am just requesting you to look into this and clear any confusion or rectify my suggestions. Man, you rock...
EXTREMELY SORRY FOR THIS BLUNDER DEB YOU ARE RIGHT IT HAS TO BE "E" I HAVE CHANGED IT. THANKS FOR THE REMINDER I actually sit in the office and make these posts and do not have the guitar in hand while I type, so its mostly on imagination. So here while I was imagining an E in 7th position, I mistook it for a D in 5th position
