Dynamic mic not working in PC

hey friends i have just bought a good quality dynamic mic for recording...but whenever i m connecting it to my pc ...my voice is coming very very low as compare to my previous mic which was just a basic headphone microphone....

i am not sure what d issue is ...

shud i use any pre-amp?

please help...

Because it needs a phantom power supply, and a boost.

 

wat do u mean by phantom power supply? i cudnt get.....there is no power socket in my mic....
