does anyone here likes blues??

    so are you guys staunch headbangers or do you also go for something subtle and deep!!
    and do me a favour also mention your favourites!
    i sometimes listen bb king,blind lemon jefferson, ronnie earl and john coltrane etc.

    i like the blues in a rock direction not just "the blues" like slash uses a style of the blues in a song or 2.

    I don't listen to blues, but blues rock does have a nice groove. Dire Straits for instance are one of my favorite bands.

    Blues is definitely the way to go.
    Eric Clapton is undisputedly the blues king.....Old Love being my favorite.

    @ shahrukh...i thought john coltrane was funk...

    no genere of music is deeper than the other.

    but i do listen to a lot of blues.

    John Coltrane was Jazz, R&B, Blues. One of the great Sax player ever walked this planet.

    I like Clapton. SRV and Hendrix though I dont listen to them much. I like Rock n Roll and Blues influenced rock a lot. ACDC and Tesla are serious Rock n Roll bands with a great vibe of Blues in them. They make really groovy mooosik.

    If you hold Major Minor chords sloppily, then also they sound weird. How about playing that way :p: :p:

    SRV
    Albert King
    Muddy Waters
    John Lee Hooker
    The Yardbirds
    John Mayhall and the Blues breakers
    Clapton .......obviously
    Hendrix
    even satch's blues album

    Well just 4 guys replied there and here it's 11 - that's the stats. i meant that not many people listen to pure blues hence not many people reply. I did'nt mean just to my thread
