I once came across a guitar which had 'Gavson' printed on it. I just attributed it to being a spelling mistake. I doubt there's going to be any significant difference in the quality, though i could be wrong.

    Even I boght HOBMER

Frineds.. Even I boght HOBMER 265 EXPORT...
And my vendor told me that Hobmer is good brand and Hobner comes for lower prize.
I bought it for Rs. 3200. In South Mumbai.

I searched on the net and I found this snap of South hero Rajnikant holding my SAME Guitar with HOBMER Brand..... ;)

Search in Google Images with "Hobmer Guitar"

I know its old thread, but still its listed no 1 on google search. so i am putting my 2 cents. Hobmer and Hobner are same. Its given on their official site: Musical Instrument Research Bureau
previous name was hobner, new name is hobmer.
So that creates the new question, guitars currently in market with Homner as make..are they duplicate or just old guitars not sold yet? :)

who cares if its hobNer or hobMer, both are fake....the actual brand is Hofner, and they start from Rs.10k.
all you need to worry about is the playability and comfort.

Unless you have got a headstock which says "Hofner" be it HobNer or HobMer; just ensure it plays and sounds decent to your ears..
