Dhobi Ghat theme

Hi,

Im not sure how many of you guys have heard the Dhobi Ghat theme that is played in the background of the Dhobi Ghat trailor.

Im not sure if there are any songs from the this song but the the music is very soothing.

Does any one know the tabs for this music piece... Do let me know if anyone could figure our the arrangement for the same on the guitar.

kool i tried it come somewha close.... I think thr is a little bit of sliding as well... Im not sure...?? but it is really soothing music... thnx

Yeah I know there is some sliding ... actually not really sliding but a little quick double plucking kind of thing (don't know the official term for it)

and there are some lower notes too...

Then the lower notes.. but am entirely unsure.. they just start of suddenly in the background

here when I've written x/y it means pluck the xth fret and then immediately pluck on the yth fret (but don't slide the finger) [may also be on two different strings]


After this there is a weird rhythm something like [tin din din - tin din din- tin din din] Still trying to figure it out...

yes yes.... thats what im looking for... specially the slightly fast paced music...!!
 
Sweet tune man..i've tried those notes and it sounds perfect. I was a bit confused about the whole x/y thing and not sure if I reproduced it correctly. It sounded werid.

Having said that, I tried the following only on the Hi E string (same notes but I'll tell you why)

Main melody or theme only

High E string|----3--4-----9--8--|---3-4------7h8---| 2 measures
High E string|----3--4-----9--8--|---7hp8----4--3---| 2 measures

7h8 is just hammer on 8 after hitting the E string
7hp8 is a quick hammer on 8 followed by quick pluck with your left index finger

Now the part where "[tin din din - tin din din- tin din din]"
First of all I don't know the notes or the chords being held but it's similar to classical guitar playing. Plucking Ring, middle and index on strings 1, 2, 3 respectively. Look up how to play Romanza and you'll know what I'm talking about.

so the whole tabs would be

E-string|--3-------4-------||--9-------8-------|
B-string|----0-------0-----||----0-------0-----|
G-string|------0-------0---||------0-------0---|

So, now the hard part...I'm not sure if those B, and G note are correct..but it fills in for that tin din din part...lol

Also, I think after the lower notes of the same melody, there's another instrument that pops in playing those notes...I don't know man but it's a sweet tune.

nice effort buddy... the initial part sounds gud.. thereaftr i lot a bit... Maybe i cud not reproduce the same way u cud... really nice tune to play on guitar dont know y no one has posted tabs for it yet... ... i will post the tabs if i get hold of it... neways thnks frnd
 
guys...i figured out pretty much the whole song except the chord progression in the middle...i'm tabbing it in GP5 right now...will post it soon... peace!
