Hi, So today I went to daryaganj to get my acoustic guitar repaired. Afterwards, I talked to the shop manager about a beginner electric guitar that he would recommend. He gave me this deal in Rs 15k - -A Clevan guitar (Les Paul design) -A decent amplifier - he didnt mention the brand - must be something not known - A processor I am sure if I haggled, it wud have dropped o 14 or 13.5k. NOnetheless, I was having doubts about this Clevan guitar. I mean, he had BC Rich and Ibanez, which were 2k and 4k more expensive than the Clevan one respectively. The BC Rich design looked awesome, something like a Jackson with BC Rich written on it. Anyway, the point is -- Is a Clevan guitar worth considering??? Earlier on this forum, I was suggested a Dean Vendetta or a Yamaha Pac 112J. Here is the link to the Clevan guitar - CLEVAN Products PLs give ur inputs. It'll be much appreciated. Thx !
BC Rich and Ibanez around 15K price levels are crap in general. You would need to sift through a mountain of them to come across decent pieces. AND DON'T GO BY THE SHAPE. NEVER, unless you are performing on stage, standing up and getting paid for it. Don't go by the deals. Try to think of it - why would the seller reduce his margins for you? He is not, he is just pushing off lower cost goods and making his margin. Yam Pac has much better quality control. No idea about Clevan. Roughly speaking - your guitar would be around 15-20K Amp about 2-5K (Stranger or Kustom) Cheap Processors about 5-10K (depending on which make and model)
Clevan Guitars? What's that? Everybody is into guitar manufacturing these days it seems. These are chinese guitars which are shyte cheap and clearly the shopkeeper is trying to make a fool out of you. Avoid it at any cost. And yes low end BC Rich sucks donkey balls.. Your best bet can be Yamaha pacifica, Greg Bennett or the best of all.. Used gear !
I wudn't have gotten that Clevan guitar anyways. Was just checking up on BC Rich, which I am not particularly charmed with. That brand can be attributed purely to heavy metal. ANd yes, I do believe in Yamaha. The Pacs are gr8!
