This is another soft melody by KJY+SJ in IR's composition from the film Aanantha Raagam.

    This is my version............

I have identified the root chord as E Major and the song follows Carnatic raga notes of Kalyani ragam.

Here we go with the chords.....................

    {E}oru raagam paadaloadu kaadhil kaetta{B}dhoa
    {E}manadhoadu oonjal aadudhoa
    dhinam urangaamal vaa{G#m}dudhae
    {E}sugam uravaadath thae{G#m}dudhae
    oa {C#m}nenjamae oa{B}raayiram sugam{E}idhu

    {E}maalai naerak{C#m} kaatril magizhndhaadum thennan{B}geetrae
    {E}maalai soodi{C#m}naalum {E}ennai aalum dheyvam neeyae
{E}kaadhal dhaevi engae {C#m}thaedum nenjam angae
{E}thaeril poagum dhaevadhai naeril vandha nae..ramae
    {B}ennullam {E}inru vaanil poagudhae

    Oru Raagam starts as

    G---------------9---11------------ G
    D----9---11----------------------- D

Hope you will enjoy this lovely melody.......................... Sathya

Great chords sathya but this song does nt contain madhyamam.
n so it is not kalyani actualy it is of raag mohanam but not the proper one.
Mohanam is slightly get deviated in the following places for the purpose of different feel

{E}kaadhal dhaevi engae {C#m}thaedum nenjam angae
{E}thaeril poagum dhaevadhai naeril vandha nae..ramae

    Regards,
    Sathya

It is not pure Kalyani. It touches m2 in only one place - near Oh Nenjamae, just a passing note. The raga can not be classified. The melody touches d1 also in few places. What I thought was a Kalyani raga type feel. Of course, IR has not used the raised 4th note, which is A#.

On the whole, it is nice melody to listen and enjoy............... Sathya

Ohhh there m2 is used!!,,,,Yep but its not pure kalyani as yu said hmmm :)
But in major places the notes shifts from 'ga' to 'pa' and 'tha' to 'sa' and vice versa hence Its mohanam
    according to me.......;)
