I did try the chords myself in the sense that I listened to the song and attempted to fit the right chords. As far as I can tell it sounds right.
I hope you agree with me, but otherwise you're welcome to post your criticisms or suggestions. ;)

    Hi Marccha

Thanks for those finger settings. Would you be able to tell me the strumming pattern for the song (ie. UDUD...etc). When you strum do u strum on all the strings (ie. bass & treble) or selective?

Any help would be really appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi Ekanshu,

I don't think there's just one single right strumming pattern for the song. Personally I feel that you should just try some and use the one that you feel most comfortable with and sounds right to you. In principle you can always play all snares als long as the notes that you play are compatible with the chord. E.g. if you play a Dm, you should not play the upper E-snare, because the e does not occur in the Dm chord. If you're not sure you can also look in the fingersettings I gave, a cross (X) meaning that you should not play that snare. So most of the times you can play all snares, but if you feel that it sounds better to play only the lower 3, 4 or 5 snares in a chord, then you're free to do so. There's no right or wrong, it just depends on your own preference.
So although I can't give you one right way to play the song, I still hope that my answer is useful to you. I can imagine that you may feel a bit uncertain about these things as a beginner, but I think you should just try and find one that you feel sounds nice.
Anyway, good luck with it and have fun, because that's the most important thing about playing guitar ;)

    Greetings,
    Marccha

    Small correction

I just saw in the fingersettings I posted that there's a small error in one of the chords. There's a cross at the A-snare, but as the a is part of the Dm chord, this snare is allowed to be played. So the right fingersetting looks like this.

    Dm
    x A D A D F
    ================
    | | | | | (1)
    +--+--+--+--+--+
    | | | (2) | |
    +--+--+--+--+--+
    | | | | (3) |
    +--+--+--+--+--+
    | | | | | |
    +--+--+--+--+--+

^Preferably dont play the A String. Root note shud remain D.

I agree, most often it sounds better not to play the A string.
But technically speaking you would not be playing a note that's incompatible with the chord. So it does not really matter that much if you hit the A snare now and then by accident. ;)

Yea, agreed. But if u wanna be perfect. Be careful about it. My sir always tells me to NEVER hit A string unless bass is a different key.

had a hard time singing the song along with these chords but the chords are fine and easy to play... must be my voice.

Maybe you can use a special clip (capodastro or capo) for your guitar. Then you can use the same easy fingersettings but the sound will be higher. How much higher depends on where you put the clip, so then it's easy to play and sing the song i a scale suitable for your voice, while you can still use the easy chords.
