Another masterpiece album from ARR..! Its a shame such a lovely song was not used in the movie. The song is a bit unusual Be the arrangements which are quite out of normal type..or the singers used..The female solo sung by a less know Runa Rizvi is definitely a thumbs up.Her voice is exotic, eccentric, husky and one of its kind..Please post the chords for it.Else enjoy a lovely music.

The song was also in male version sung by sukhvinder.

Jaane Tu Mera Kya Hai (Male) 720P - YouTube

But both versions sound different yet give you the same feel of 'confused state of being in love with someone you never thought to have such feelings'..Thats why its awsome

THANKS a lot @komal29. Yes this song is bit different coz very few songs are based on that scale. The music gives a haunted and gloomy feel to it and it fits ur comment.."confused state of being in love with someone you never thought to have such feelings":). I was using DDUUD strumming pattern you can use yours. Keep rocking \m/

Hi Jimihendrix, like you say, it is an unusual kinda song.
Whew! Why can't ARR use simple straight forward chords like other mere mortals.
Some of his songs can be a bloody nightmare for me crack.
Here's my take on this song. It is by no means perfect, but it's the best I cud do without ripping my hairs out!

    (A#m)
    Jaane tu mera kya hai
    (F#M7)jaane tu mera kya tha
    (A#m)tu hi mera har pal
    (F#M7)
    tu hi har lamha(A#m)tha..
    (A#m)jaane kaisi kashish hai
    (F#M7)jaane kaisi khalish hai
    (A#m)kyun yeh saans thami hai
    (G#M7)aankhon mein kyun nami (A#m)hai..
    Hai (F#M7)dosti humko ya(Fsus4)kin tha
dosti aur kuch bhi nahi (Fm)tha
hai (C#)kaisa yeh dard na(Eb)ya sa
kyun (Fm7)dil lagta tuta tuta sa..
Hai (A#m)jaana dil jaana.. kaise mene na jana Ke (G#)pyaar hi hai
yeh (C#M7)jaane tu ya jaane na..
(A#m)Jaana dil jaana kai(F#)se tune na (A#)jana yeh (Cm7b5)pyaar hi hai haan
    (C#)jaane (G#7)tu ya (C#)jaane (A#m)na...[Jaane tu part repeat]
    (F#)hooo.........Hoti thi (C#)tujhse su(Ebm)bah har din ki (C#)teri do(Ebm)pehar se (G#dim7)shaam ki dhun thi
    (Ebm)hote the (C#)raatein tere (BM7)baaton mein khoye
    (C#)tere khayalon mein hi (Fm)jaageo so(A#m)ye..
(F#M7)Tu jo nahi toh (A#m)kya raha

Wow! Rajesh sir that was a fabulous job(ur are best in the business).. And ur right Rahman songs are really really tough to crack:(
I guess those chords u have given are piano chords but they equally sound gud on guitar. Uff! Those diminished chords.
