You are absolutely right about the fact that the original song is in C. The problem is, sometimes in pirated versions of songs the scale gets changed due to bad copying. This sometimes results in confusion. I think this may be the case here.

Hold A major barred on 5th fret. Shift 3 places towards the bridge. You get C major. Need I tell you more or can you transpose the chords by yourself. I can post the chords, but since they are already posted I don't feeel like going through the trouble.
