You know at this price point, you need to check the instrument by your eyes/ears/hands. Don't worry about genre - as long as there is a hum-bucker pickup in the bridge it can do high-gain stuff.
yeah even my budget is around 18k and now i m confused between Cort X6 VPR Snakeskin and Jackson JS35RR... I would have opted for the Jackson anyways.. Just the V shaped body is confusing me as most people insist its real awkward to practice.
