aye means like... when you're calling out to someone you go like 'oye' or something. so i say aye

 

I thought AYE is an old sailor's english for YES.

Like : Aye Aye Cap'n!
And in British as well as Indian parliament too, AYE is used for audible voting. Aye means yes and Nay means No.
