what a show !!!! can't get over it!!! for a change the sound system was awesome too. in all a great concert, he ended the show with "going home" I also ripped off a HUGE Rexine NOKIA POSTER of MARK
And I got a Knopfler T-Shirt from the Orange people! :rule: Not much written on it though, just the animation of a guitar, and Mark Knopfler and Shangri-La written et al. It was sweltering hot, but I wore the T-shirt on top of the full sleeved T-shirt I was already wearing : But what a concert! Truly! There I was, right at the front, within talking distance of one of the few people due to whom I picked up the guitar. :nw: I was right in front of the stage! What a concert! What improvisation! And his voice is the same even after 28 years! The best songs of the concert were undoubtedly Romeo and Juliet (my favourite Dire Straits song :-D) and So Far Away ... Sultans of Swing and Money For Nothing were amazing as well, I loved the way he improvised a lot on those two! - Raj. P.S. Bandbaaja, you were right in the front as well? For all you know, we might have talked : and I thought I saw Ehsaan, or someone similar to him :-D in a red T-shirt, right at the front ...
Also! My friend's dad was at the airport when Knopfler arrived, and he took his autograph! I'm gonna procure it from my friend, photocopy, enlarge, laminate, everything! Will scan it and put it up here as soon as I get it from my friend! - Raj.
