    CHAND SIFARISH - FANAA
    Key = Dm

    IMPOTANT NOTE ON STRUMMING:

If you're playing the distortion power chords as in the song, the strumming is simple:

    |1---2---3---4---|1---2---3---4---|
    |D***--------D---|D***--------D---| and so on for the full song

The * indicates the time of sustain per chord.

    ALSO,
The chords indicated below include the minor and the seventh chord in certain places
If you're playing distortion guitar as part of a band, then you play simple power chords.
The seventh and the minor will be played by the keyboardist.

But if you're playing the song as solo accompaniment on an acoustic guitar or so,
dont play power chords, play the FULL chords and play a fuller dholak-type strumming pattern.

    NOTE:
Jatin Lalit have a unique chord structure that they use especially on MINOR songs. Like with a song in Dm, they avoid the C chord as much as possible..
In most places where you think its the C chord they use a sweeter Am.
That is applicable to this song also.
Another nice spot in this particular song is the use of A7

Good work Banbaaja (as ususal!). I would suggest following changes.

    Starting distorted chords
    D/C/D/C

    Subhanallah chorus

    [Bbmaj7/Gminsus2/A7/Dm] %

    Bbmaj7 xx8765
    Gminsus2 xx8785

    music before this chorus

    E-------------l
    B-------------l
    G----2h3po2--l %
    D- 0----------l

I would paly A major instead of A seventh.

    Hey Surmayee
I tried out your changes, they are not right.
    -----------------------------------------------------------
    The intro:
    -----------------------------------------------------------
    / Dm / Gm / Dm / Gm . A7 ./
you can play 5th chords (power chords)

    for Dm - The A & D notes
    for Gm - The D & G notes
    for A7 - The E & A notes

There is definitely no C chord in the start

    -----------------------------------------------------------
    The Subhanallah Part
    -----------------------------------------------------------
    there is a standard
    Subhanallaaaaaaah Subhanallaaaaaaah Subhanallaaaaaaah Subhanallaaaaaaah
    /--------Dm------/---------Gm------/---------A7------/---------Dm-------/

and the second time the first chord changes to Bb
    Subhanallaaaaaaah Subhanallaaaaaaah Subhanallaaaaaaah Subhanallaaaaaaah
    /--------Bb------/---------Gm------/---------A7------/---------Dm-------/

    -----------------------------------------------------------
The notes after subhanallah (valle valle part)
    -----------------------------------------------------------

    E ----------------------
    B ----------------------
    G ---3h5p3-2-3h5p3-2---- Valle Valle
    D -0--------------------
    A ----------------------
    E ----------------------

    E ----------------------
    B ----------------------
    G ---3h5p3-2-3h5p3-2---- Valle Valle
    D -0--------------------
    A ----------------------
    E ----------------------

    it is not a 2 3 2 pattern on the G string
it is a 3h5p3 2 pattern, listen carefully, you will get it

    REGARDS

    @ Bandbaaja

    Have checked your comments.
The chords after alaap are D/G/D/G - I got G confused with C.
Your chords for subhanallah are of course correct but too clinical for me. I have suggested alternative voicing using maj7 and minor sus chord which to my ears sound more sweet. JL have used a similar trick in mere haath mein - ya maula alaap- too. Also same chords progressions used in mujhse dosti karoge - sanwalsi ek ladki.....

The little piece before and after valle valle is as I have indicated unless we have both got our guitars tuned out of key or are talking about soemthing completely different. Pls check.
