I am into rock, would prefer riffs from famous ROCK songs. Something like the riff from "Everything About You" by Ugly Kid Joe. I don't know how tough that one is.
alaeric - its better you post in your request in a proper forum and i am sure you would get enough responses , try it ... well i dont have " everything about you " but posting " cats in the cradle " by ugly kid joe , enjoy !!!
Thanks bob for the response. Me not looking for any specific song. Just want some cool and easy riffs so that I can try them out. Maybe some power chords progression which soundz good.
Okay, i get ur point. Try Black sabbath's Iron man. Its very easy and very famous. But u have to first listen to the song. If u have heard it, then heres the tab - E------------------------------------------------------ B------------------------------------------------------ G------------------------------------------------------ D-----7--7/9-9--12/11-12/11-12/11--7--7/9-9---------- A--9--5--5/7-7--10/9--10/9--10/9---5--5/7-7---------- E--7--------------------------------------------------- Thats it. Very easy. If u want the full tab, i've already posted it in the tabs forum, just search, u'll find it. Right now, i cant think of anything else. Once i do, i'll post.
At this precise moment in time i can only think of the following songs, but there are plenty of others, i've also provided you riffs that you can start learning a little later as well and not just now: Easy Riffs (single notes) Rolling Stones - Satisfaction Rembrandts - I'll Be There For You (Friends theme) The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army Deep Purple - Smoke On The Water Once you get a little better as in hand movement and finger strength you can try these: Led Zeppelin - Whole Lotta Love Chris Isaak - Wicked Game And once you get it stronger and are attempting hammers and pulls (about 2-4 months away) or when you are trying lots of string bends and longer sequences then Eric Clapton - Layla Jimi Hendrix - Purple Haze Allman Brothers - Jessica Police - Englishman In New York
