+1 to the above post, we can only suggest probables you have to choose what sounds good to your ears. But i beg to differ on the wood part. The difference between a Maple guitar and mahogany guitar can be heard even on moon.
The amp has to definitely be metal, you CANNOT do metal on a Fender Twin. Any guitar is fine. With right amp and effects even a strat can do metal, just ask Yngwie Malmsteen.

Well I agree with you there would be a difference when played acoustically/unplugged. and to an extent when plugged in as well, without any pedals etc to that right amp that brings out the tone of a guitar specific, it does have a difference, but in a loud setup, with so much color that gets added by effects, cables, etc etc...it gets subtle and subtle...

In this specific case, the amp that are being advised to the OP are not the amps that will bring out the tone/true sound of any guitar to be honest.
+1 about Ywngie and yeah not all amps can do metal, but i didn't mean to say that we can get the tones from a fender or a stranger amp, I just mean the right amp can do it.

    I haven't played s420 but I liked it.
It features are perfect for me.
But I dont think I will get it for less than 400$ thats S500$ in singapore.

Can anyone find it for 400$ in singapore?
I cant go above 400$ for the guitar.
If I go I will have to get a microcube :/

I think the budget is killing me.
And I thought for a long time.
A fixed is same as an accoustic only diff is that its got electric touch.

    I want a ZR.
Any other guitars for 400$ with a ZR?

If i were you i wud go for one from the following
    -Ibanez S420
    -Yamaha pacifica
    -ESP LTD EC- 256
    -Greg Bennett AV6

Its a one time investment dude. Save up for a few more months and then buy. But dont settle on quality and a low end guitar...

Dude go check out the cort kx1q man im serious. It seems to be a pretty good guitar man. Just go fricking play it. :) If I were you, Id get a fixed gibraltor or tone pros and then swap the pickups for 10k. Thats the best thing. Or you can get a guitar with the ZR OR FR and get ****ed up especially if you're a beginner. Well maybe im wrong. But still Id go for fixed bridge any day. Even if I got a floyd rose id block it off. And get the vypyr. There is no compromising in the amp section. The amp is like 70% or 60% of your tone.

If only this post can be copy pasted every time there is an asinine argument about:
    1. wood of guitar
    2. wood used in finger board
    3. weight of headstock
    4. material of frets
    5. gold plating of plug/socket
    6. silver "quantum crystallized" cables

and loads of other BS, when in the end you are going to run the guitar through a Tubescreamer and a heavy reverb and a Distorted amp at gain turned to 11.
Or perhaps the same emulated via Line6 POD

the S420 for 30k isn't really worth the money

you'd be better off going for an ESP for 5k less

Had gone to Musician's mall, charni road.
They said ESP's are good but their parts arent readily available so dont get an ESP :/

S570 is a good guitar better than any LTD at that price range. But if you are getting a S570 please consider the PRS SE custom 24 too it is a good guitar, it has a trem but a non locking one so is better for beginners.

    Dont know bro.
When I called him he said 700$.
I cross checked if its singapore dollars he said yes.
But such a price difference doesnt make sense.
ayu135,bro I know I am annoying you with repeated queries but can you specifically give me 5 guitars in rs 20k.[25k max !! ]
the guitars you suggested are way over my budget and the ones which arent, I dont like :/

    I like the s420 config [body,neck,etc]
I going this week to play s420 and s570 but I need a backup option too.
[s420 isnt available in singapore sadly :/]

    ty a lot !!

    must say
u shud try everything in ur price range
u dont know what u may like
also people make many decisions before they buy by looking at the pics and specs
but in the end all that matters is the sound
    so try b4 u buy

    and to everyone else
u say ltds are not good in lower budget
then in which budget are they good

Yeah so you said you were going to buy the s570 for S$700 so i suggested that you go for the PRS instead which is priced similar to the S570 here so it may have the same price there. As for the price there will be a big difference in price between India and singapore. Guitars will be a lot cheaper there. You can get a Les Paul standard around US$400-450 there whereas in india it is around Rs 38,000. The reason as for the low price as far as the Ibanez S570 is considered is because they are made in Indonesia and hence the shipping and duties in singapore are lesser so the cost is low.

Above Rs. 35,000 according to me.
