    Hi everyone.
I know I'm new around here, but thought TABs would be a great help for many of us.
So here we go. Chose one of my favourites... Mithya by Black (album - Amar Prithibi) for two reasons mainly: first, somebody has already asked for the chord prog. for this wonderful song; and second, it's a very popular one, and therefore interesting enough.

First, I'll include the complete lyrics --

    verse 1:
shomoy holo ekhon amaar mukhomukhi boshbaar
buker kache priyo agun jole uthbar

    chorus:
    tomaar shonge aami hariye jabo
    ghumer deshe lukabo
    batasher deene hete jabo
    bohu dur (...aamra)

    verse 2:
shomoy holo ekhon tomaar amake jagabaar
bheja haate chooye diyo amaar shob ardrota

For beginners, I'll keep it simple. Play the verse (shomoy holo ekhon amaar) --

    A-----------A-----------A----------A---------
shomoy holo ekhon amaar mukhomukhi boshbaar

    same for the second line.

If you are playing for a while, maybe you know how to play 7th chords --

    A-----------Amaj7-------D----------A---------
shomoy holo ekhon amaar mukhomukhi boshbaar

Here are the chords (the numbers are simply the no. of frets you should play on 6th to 1st string) --

    A 002220
    Amaj7 002120
    D 200232

If not understood yet, please don't hesisate to ask me!

Now the verse. It's quite simple --

    A-----Bm------E---D----------A--
    Tomar shonge aami hariye jabo
    -----Bm----E-D------A--
    Ghumer deshe lookabo
    ----Bm------E---D---------A--
    Baatasher deene hete jaabo
    A----A--------C------
    Bohu-oo-oo du-oo-ur

If you're not sure about the chords, here they are --

    A 002220
    Bm 224432
    D 200232
    E 022100
    C 332010

And if you have a hard time reading the chords the way I wrote, this might help --

    Fret 002220
    String 654321

    Got it?
    Good!

Now for intemediates... the verse part goes --

    ..A . . . . . . . . A/G# . . . . . .
    e|--------|--------|--------|--------|
    B|------2-|--------|------2-|--------|
    G|------2-|--------|------2-|--------|
    D|---2----|--------|---2----|--------|
    A|0-------|--------|--------|--------|
    E|--------|--------|4-------|--------|

    ..A/C# . . . . . . .A/E . . . . . . .
    e|--------|--------|--------|--------|
    B|------2-|--------|------2-|--------|
    G|------2-|--------|------2-|--------|
    D|---2----|--------|---2----|--------|
    A|4-------|--------|--------|--------|
    E|--------|--------|0-------|--------|

Play this twice, then go to chorus.

The chorus part is easy anyway...
    Just play A - Bm - E - D prog. (progression) three times, then A - A - C - C.

But I said EXACTLY this for beginners too, didn't I?
    So why this repeating?

Because now we play in barre chords, which ARE actually used by Black, and eventually playing the WHOLE chorus in barre chords is insane to new guitarists, right?

    Now, play A and Bm in E position (A 577655, Bm 799777)
    and E and D in A position (E 779997, D 557775)
and C either open (332010) or A position (335553, preferred)

    Here's the TAB version --

    ..A . . . .Bm . . . C . . . .D. . . . E. . . .
    e|5-------|7-------|3-------|5-------|7-------|
    B|5-------|7-------|5-------|7-------|9-------|
    G|6-------|7-------|5-------|7-------|9-------|
    D|7-------|9-------|5-------|7-------|9-------|
    A|7-------|9-------|3-------|5-------|7-------|
    E|5-------|7-------|3-------|5-------|7-------|

Don't forget to put more power on the down strokes!

    After the 2nd chorus, there's a bridge.
No lyrics, only la la la.

This part is very crucial for the song, because it's a new thing introduced and kinda adds to the flavour.
    Play in barre chords.

    ..D . . . . . . . . Bm. . . . . . . .
    e|5-------|--------|7-------|--------|
    B|7-------|--------|7-------|--------|
    G|7-------|--------|7-------|--------|
    D|7-------|--------|9-------|--------|
    A|5-------|--------|9-------|--------|
    E|5-------|--------|7-------|--------|

    ..G . . . . . . . . Bm. . . . . . . .
    e|3-------|--------|7-------|--------|
    B|3-------|--------|7-------|--------|
    G|4-------|--------|7-------|--------|
    D|5-------|--------|9-------|--------|
    A|5-------|--------|9-------|--------|
    E|3-------|--------|7-------|--------|

    ..D . . . . . . . . Bm. . . . . . . .
    e|5-------|--------|7-------|--------|
    B|7-------|--------|7-------|--------|
    G|7-------|--------|7-------|--------|
    D|7-------|--------|9-------|--------|
    A|5-------|--------|9-------|--------|
    E|5-------|--------|7-------|--------|

    ..D . . . . . . . . D .C. D . . . . . (let ring)
    e|5-------|--------|5-x3-x5-|--------|
    B|7-------|--------|7-x5-x7-|--------|
    G|7-------|--------|7-x5-x7-|--------|
    D|7-------|--------|7-x5-x7-|--------|
    A|5-------|--------|5-x3-x5-|--------|
    E|5-------|--------|5-x3-x5-|--------|

    (x) means mute or don't play.
Here I meant mute, that is, stop ringing.

Now for the last new bit... it's when the female voice (Elita) enters...

The accompaniment for this part is done by the keys, but if you're singing with a single guitar, maybe you'll want to play this over the part --

    ..A . . . .Bm . . . E . . . .D. .D Bm
    e|--------|--------|--------|--------|
    B|5---5---|7---7---|9---9---|7---7x7x|
    G|6---6---|7---7---|9---9---|7---7x7x|
    D|7---7---|9---9---|9---9---|7---7x9x|
    A|--7---7-|--------|--7---7-|--5-----|
    E|--------|--7---7-|--------|--------|

Play this part three times, then...

    ..A . . . . . . . . C . . . . . . . .
    e|--------|--------|--------|----3333|
    B|5---5---|5---5---|5---5---|5-5-5555|
    G|6---6---|6---6---|5---5---|5-5-5555|
    D|7---7---|7---7---|5---5---|5-5-5555|
    A|--7---7-|--7---7-|--3---3-|--3-3333|
    E|--------|--------|--------|----3333|

I know this is hard to play with a peak.
But as this part is to be played softly anyway, and you have a (much) needed pause before it, why not just put the peak aside and play with fingers?

    To do this, place your...

    1st finger (index/TORJONI) on string D,
    2nd finger (middle/MODHDHOMA) on string G,
    3rd finger (ring/ONAMIKA) on string B
and your thumb(BURO ANGOOL) on string 5 and 6.

    Easy, huh?

    Before I forget...

After the first chorus, there's a tiny guitar solo.
Black (Jahan, infact! ) uses a clean tone (without much distortion, that is! ) ...With delay for this part ---

    ..Bm. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
    e|--------|--------|--------|--------|
    B|--------|--------|--------|--------|
    G|7-------|--------|--\---7-|6-7-672-|
    D|--------|--------|--------|--------|
    A|--------|--------|--------|--------|
    E|--------|--------|--------|--------|

    ..D . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
    e|--------|--------|--------|--------|
    B|--------|--------|--------|--------|
    G|--------|--------|--\-----|--9----\|
    D|--------|--------|--------|--------|
    A|--------|--------|--------|--------|
    E|--------|--------|--------|--------|

The thing is, Jahan plays the notes a moment earlier, and then turns up the volume gradually. Not sure if he does it using the volume nob... maybe it's in the effect itself. Anyway, actually he plays a different solo, but at least it SOUNDS something like this.

Experiment with it and have fun!
