Musically, i think 2005 was a great year. So whats your favourite song (no, i dont want to see massive lists) Mine would be Catch 33 by Meshuggah. :headbang: (whats a musical forum without a proper headbanging smiley?) A lot of songs by bands like opeth, nile, cryptopsy and dream theater are great but i think Catch 33 tops em all. (thats an opinion you see)
^^ Very well expected. :. That would be ONE of my favourites of this year. Great song, great album..
Well, i got into it recently. Train Of thought got me into it. And i really like Six degrees......., train of thought and the new one. And i think you should have known that i listen to them from the first post : But i really hate the fact that: Dream theater came here in october: I started liking them about a week after they came (didnt go there) Nile and behemoth came here in september: I started liking them a few days after they came (didnt go there) Meshuggah came here in the begining of June: I got into them about a month later (and didnt go there either) Same with porcupine tree (november 23rd) IMAGINE THE PAIN!!!!! Atleast i got to be happy that opeth came "in time"
my fav song of 2005 is Boulevard Of Broken Dreams by Green Day every thing about the song the lyrics, the music  the video were just tooooo good
There go my hopes that underground music can catch up. : The mainstream is making such a comeback. 2nd Place from me: Opeth - Ghost Of Perdition Porcupine Tree - Arriving Somewhere But Not Here
Why? Wait. I'll repost: 1st: Meshuggah: Catch 33 (47:11) 2nd: Opeth - Ghost Of Perdition (10:26) Porcupine Tree - Arriving Somewhere But Not Here (12:02)
Yesh. Its a whole album. You will like it if youre familiar with their style. And it took me about 2 months to get used to them. It also took me about 15-20 listens (this megasong) for me to have a positive opinion on it. But now, i'm really addicted to it and cant love it more. Out of the whole song, try the bit called "Minds Mirrors", if you have an open mind (i think you do), you will like it.
^^ Err....best song of 2005. I could assume that the best song of 2006 would be a tool song. But you never know for sure.
Have all u guys forgotten that the original Metal Gods also released an album this year in feb, although i know it was supposed to be released on dec 2004.... and as far as the best song of 2005, for me it is :nw: Judas Priest - Judas Rising (what a comeback by them
