Thanks for the response. Could you guys specific particular songs of the bands which are good. I am lost as to which songs to hear as i have never heard most of the bands mentioned.

For the 2nd time, Strings is not a rock band, and Jal, even though their music is simple yet catchy, is a terrible sight when performing live. U might call em rock band, but they dont really rock!
In my opinion, Call (very good), Aaroh (excellent), Roxen (Good), Junoon (Pioneers. But very good), might say Mizraab as they are great, but it is pure metal. To put the thing straight, there aint many GOOD BANDS in Pakistan. let alone "Good Rock Bands". Only bands that have impressed me, are MHB, Aaroh, Mizraab, Roxen etc. Dont know enough abt Karavan to comment. Therez a new band Raeth whose video is doing circles on TV. They have an average line up, but have potential. Wait till their album hits the shelf.

 

agree bro .. ive seen them live :-/ and their show was dull and all the time the vocalist kept repeating that "guys .. we're gonna go crazy after this song.." with an accent, and still the show was terribly dull ... oopar se alaap ga ga ke dimaag ka dahi kar diya

@neo, of the new bands, i like noori a bit for their energy ... dont know how theyre live .. johnny can tell us

Hmm well therez not much in Noori except good drumming and average vocals. But now that Gumby is gone, their future is pretty dark. I've never listened to Noori until lately. Their song Nishaan got my attention. Their albums are good, dont know abt their live performance as I've never been to one. They have a huge fan database, but mostly are school kids or head-bangers. Ask someone who knows. Peace.
