basic query

    i hv this query..may be amateur..bt can we play different type of scale on diff progression like...in e harmonic minor..we have chords am,b,c,etc..so while playing the solo over b chord suppose...can i play b oriental scale?? o_O or do i have to play harmonic minor scale only ?

    alpha1 I BLUES!

    You can play anything as long as notes sound "all right" on top of the chord.
    Of course, the definition of "all right" changes with ppl.
