Anybody playing for the July Sunday Jam. I will be playing with my new band called Pipers. The line up is

Joy - Vocals
Anand - Guitars
Leslie - Bass
Shreyas - Drums
Sidharth - Keyboards

I am from Bangalore.

Instrument - Guitar -Acoustic, Electric, Flamenco(very little) and Bass.

Band & Style - WISP(yet to hit the spot light), Alternative blues grunge.

Influences - Jerry Cantrell, Kim thayil, Stone gossard, Mike McCready, Eric johnson, Joe, S R V, Vai, Petrucci, Paul Gilbert, Paco De Lucia, John Mc Laughlin, Al Dimeolo, Andy Simmons, Frank Gambale, Nuno, Marty friedman, Kurt cobain, Amadeus Wolfgang, Ludwig Van, Antonio Vivaldi, Victor wooten and so on.

Music Style - Grunge, Blues, Basic Jazz types(love to play on diminished, whole tone, augmented triads as it gives a very doom feeling of Jazz grunge).

Gig in the immediate future - Will play soon, Originals along with a few selected covers as we are an original band rather than a cover band.

Is there goin to be a Sunday Jam in Aug or just the Freedom Jam?

How abt we all meet up there? It can be like a mini get-together or somin.....
 
There's no August Sunday Jam. It will be Freedom Jam straight. Talks are on for 2 Main Stage and also 2 small stages. We can meet up at Freedom Jam.
 
^^^^ Coool...but how do we recognise each other?...... ronnie should be easy to spot (jus look for all the cool gear)..what abt the others?
 
Bangalore's getting to be a bit boring now....

ok i need to do something meaningful with my life so i decided to finally get a blues band together...some instrumental rock too. K so i need a drummer and a bassy atleast...keyboard players welcome too...maybe even another guitar player.

rock n roll, Trash metal (Mixture of various rock styles rather)

Moving to Bangalore

I'm actually from Calcutta but I'll be moving to Bangalore in a month's time for college. I'm glad I came across this cause I'm very eager to see the underground scene in Bangalore.

1. What Instrument You Play - In bands I've played electric bass. But for the last couple of years I've been really into guitar.

2. What Band You Play and What Style - played bass for Frosty Lemons (funk-rock) and The PaGe (punk). Check them out on reverbnation or Facebook, if you want.

3. Influences - On bass: Flea, Bootsy Collins, Jaco, Larry Graham, Gabe Nelson, Victor Damiani, Tim Commerford.
