I realized the opposite of love
    is not hate
    its apathy...

    do they care
    how many of them?
    when children beg
    when the weak are ripped
when the only way for an able man
is to take his good things and walk away

    i take my thoughts
yes the onse of common good
pack them in my old school bag
and throw it across the road
and i really dont care who picks them
    it dosent matter any more
    not my business
these people are too cheap to be writing for
too hungry to be dieting for
too deaf to be asked to listen
too weak to be fighting for ..!!

    That's some good lines...
Actually I was wondering where I've heard the 1st three lines, as an adage...
    Then I remembered...
was it the shiva trilogy? I'd seen it on the last page.
Or if its your own creation then its some good philosophy from your side.. !

yeah, It has been used in Shiva trilogy but the man who said it was Leo Buscaglia.the qoute goes like this--
I have a very strong feeling that the opposite of love is not hate - it's apathy. It's not giving a damn.

    ^Yep...same!
So much for originality in the Shiva trilogy..but its good overall, considering its an Indian attempt at English-style mythological fiction, without hurting over-sensitive religious sentiments...

yeah,it was fine...but this idea was best conveyed by daagh dehlavi when he said...

ho chuka qata-taaluq to jafaaein kyun ho
jinko matlab nahi hota wo satate bhi nahi....
