Quick, name a slum area on the outskirts of any cities that you live in. PLZ! PLZZZ!!

 

I don't know any, except dharavi.

Is Dharavi ok?

Come on, Kolkata people! There are so many in you city. For now i hope to get away with the numerous howrah slums.(?)

 

Its the oldest part of this town. Its not a slum but there are very dilapidated houses in here. Poor ppl live in this part. It dates back to the 11th century.

And my place is in North Kolkata(New town). I can only think of some slums in the Ordinance factory area.

in Mumbai,
there's one near Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link road. (but that's inside the city)
but the slum area in Turbhe is on the outskirts.

in Kolkata,
all the slums area that i know are inside the city.
my favourite being the one which is by the railway tracks in Dhakuria.
