One of my favorite songwriters in fact and a fantastic lyricist (I guess Bernie Taupin should be given equal credit), I have a great deal of respect for this man. I'm particularly a fan of his older albums. Am his fan coz he is a queer. But among his songs I like the Lion King one the best. There is one Sacrifice too, which is one of my fav.

elton is like caviar .. an acquired taste .. i am not too much into him .. but yes he does has some really fine vocals

I see none of the songs from the album "Songs From The West Coast" are mentoned in the list. Get it if you can. In my opinion it is Bernie's and Elton John's greatest work of art. No one can play blues on songs like his on the piano as well as him.

whenever a friend is heartbroken and has to say goodbye to the girl its fun to play him 'candle in the wind' by replacing 'england's rose' to ....... --all in all I admire eltons 'compositions' a lot .. I enjoy playing sm of his songs on guitar -- esp: can u feel the love tonite (lion king) and candle in the wind! -- somethhing abt the way is another fav but havent tried playing that yet!

He he Wizzy..I am back from vacation now! I really haven't heard that much, but I do like Tiny Dancer (especially in the Almost Famous scene), Loves Lies Bleeding and Funeral for a Friend.
