well .. i am new and just bought a guitar 1 week before ... i have read many tutorials and its helping me ... i want to play tabs of any song ... please suggest me any song whose tabs are easy and please post here ... anywayz .. i am bit confused in tabs graph .. like below is a graph i am trying to play it first i put my finger on string " G " and 6th fret then what to do ... slide my finger from 6 to 4 on that wire or simply put my other finger on 4 and play ... i am bit confused about sliding .. and please suggest me a song e--------------------------------------- B---------5--------------------5-------- G-6-4-6-------6-4-----6-4-6---------6-4- D--------------------------------------- A--------------------------------------- E---------------------------------------

i think its too early for u to play a song.. u shd learn the basic scales and patterns... get ur hand set on the fret board first.......... all the best... :beer: good luck!!!!

congrats for getting a guitar. first of all get a teacher. a good teacher. learn the basic scales and chords, train your ears, and the try figurin out the songs urself. all the best and welcome happy posting :grin:
aree u can slide any time..first get ur fingers rolling smooth over ur guitar..learn the basics..once u get tht ....the world will be asking u for song tabs...mark my words..but get thro basics first....
hmm there's an other Guns n Roses (first played by Bob Dylan)....it's also one of the first songs that i learnt on guitars...... Song: KNocking on Heaven's Door; chords are G (maj), D (maj) and then C (maj)....well they are not tabs but still you can try this....coz strumming is also simple only Downstroke then Upstroke and repeating count 1 & 2& 3&.......

Enough of all the BS here. Dude,plain and simple..you do not SLIDE Four fingers. Index,Middle,Ring and Pinky Lowest Note 4 Highest Note 6 Middle Note 5 Get the beat? If you still don't... Use your Index for 4 Middle Finger for 5 and Ring for 6 Thats how you use your four fingers god gave you.
