That applies to all pedals in my opinion. Amp being the most important part. Use it with a Marshall 10CD and it'll sound like shyte.. use it with a 15w all tube amp and feel the difference.

There are these pedals which are designed with in-built AMP emulation circuit right ? They sound good directly through even PC speakers...

These pedals are mainly meant for recording purposes...

But you could still use them live right ? All you gotta do is plug in the pedal to the PA line and play...

Yes you can, and its a breeze while other ppl are fiddling around with their amps, mics, mixers etc - because its not sounding the same through monitors, what it was sounding back in your jam room.

With 2K budget you can't even get a single effect pedal.
    Processors are outta question.

In 2k you might get used RP50, RP90, zoom g2 etc...

If someone was selling a G2 for 2k I would consider it very seriously.

Well recently i got interested in Bass guitar and was getting a decent deal for the gear (i ended up not buyin it though)... i was gettin a zoom b2 for around 2k... so i thought maybe you'll get a g2 for the same price..

That's rather interesting... Because B2 is supposed to be one of the more popular bass pedals out there from what a couple of bassists told me...
