    umm
i wont recommed that you go with Marshall's .
I hate Marshall's they've got a very poor quality of distortion.
On the other hand a Roland is much much better .
Let us know your budget .

I dont deny that higher end Marshalls are amazing like the JCM800
    But the one's you get in India arent worth it ( the 10cd , 15 , 30 etc )

Believe me but I have checked out almost all the AMP's that are available in Delhi ( marshalls, Laney , Randall ,Peavey , Boss ) and all of them are nothing compared to a Roland . The distortion is by FAR superior than any Marshall and even my AMT Metalizer .
The clean tone is real nice for blues, classical etc.

Get yourself a Marshall MG series 15CD or 30CD. Pretty decent sounding and also has a nice overdrive. Not great for Metal. But has a nice overdrive. If you know to set it, you can get a killer tone with it's overdrive. Yesterday I was experimenting with a Fender Strat through this Marshall MG15CD and I could even get some killer Tweed Sounds. Even the other things I tried gave me very nice results. The EQ is really good.

Hey Ronnie..hows the Rondall 2x12 holding up;)?

That's a killer. You need to start a fan club and a separate fan appreciation forum for that :p:

    for Rondall?

    I know one Randall amp.

Who needs a Randall when you have a Rondall.

Did you notice. Randall shamelessly copied the name Rondall and using Rondall's reputation to sell their Randall amps

    Aha!

    Gotcha.
    how about a Besa/Moogie?
    or a Boogieman amp?

Besa Moogie kicks ass. Boogieman kicks ass too. Mesa Boogies is shameless copy and it sucks big time. I heard that only very low budget newbies play the Mesa Boogies. Otherwise they'd always prefer a Besa Moogie.

So Besa Moogie is better or Boogieman.
    Or is it Rondall?

Hey Big Evil, since all the amps we are talking about you wont get:
    Marshall is decent.
Roland might be good, but then it is expensive.

+ I like the solid state Marshall's clean sound.
and I use processor for overdrive/distortion.

Solid state Marshall's (The MGxxCDx series are all solid state amps) overdrive sounds fine at very low gain settings.

    Budget?
There's no point recommending a $10,000 Dumble Overdrive Special.

for distortion its definately a ROLAND !!
Probably a Marshall or Laney for Reverb

For a Clean Amp it's Rondall :nw:

  18. alpha1

For dirty sounds it shall be Besa/Moogie.

    d00d

    go and buy a Marshall.
It works good for clean sound. and for distortion or overdrive you buy a processor or stomp-box.

    + It is cheap
