hello guys... i just came across this clipping while surfing the web : https://www.tablatures.tk/articles/www-tablatures-tk_strumming.wmv ( i found it on tablatures.tk , here : https://www.tablatures.tk/articles-read.php?id=3 ) *gulp**gulp**gulp**gulp**gulp* koi aise strumming karna sikha do yaar...
ye, seenthis on google cideo search b4, its amazin... jus wonderin tho how often he gets through a set of strings, lol... it wud b gr8 if neone has ne tips on how 2 strum like this man, some bits of it r kinda crazy. although i bet this guy cudnt play like a c major scale or sumtin, lol
In that video Larrive seems to be strumming quite fast but what makes him amazing is that hes "slapping and popping" the guitar as well, a tough technique to learn. He also seems to be doing flamenco style strumming, which is where you use all four fingers and strum the string with each finger one after the other in a sort of fan like motion. He is also doing some finger tapping, quite a rare thing done on an acoustic. I remember a guy playing like him when i did a course at ACM. It really is a LOT more than just strumming.
The tabs are here... cant even be bothered to understand : https://www.freewebs.com/justinking/Untitled Project (revised).txt
^^ omg... these tabs are really confusing... lol im tryin 2 play like him.. but its a hell of a job..
@ guitar guru 666: do u mean hes using his extensor muscles (i think) like flamenco guitarists and is playing using a rasguedo (not sure if spelt correctly) type technique
on closer inspection i think he is actually using a alzapua technique aswell, he utilises his thumb quite effectively !
@mr singh: you might be onto something with the alzapua technique, he has an extremely fibriated dextruous thumb, i dont think its rasguedo though more like chihuahua
Tuning: DADGAd thts y it sounds liker tht. he is actually slapping so fast and tapping...o man, this guy is gr8!!!!!!!!!
lets behave as if we don't know such a strumming style exists... hihihi... and sleep over it guys.. acha lagega
agree... those are incredibly hard to read... lol : ... if he were given these tabs, i bet that he wont be able to interpret them because he made that stuff up !! I dont think he looks @ the tab and then plays it... its his own style and its hard to write tabs for it and even hard to play by reading them... bottom line - experiment, practice, experiment... and come up with your own style...
bottom line - experiment, practice, experiment... and come up with your own style... very well said....
