Nice song, of course. But a standard G (320003) didn't work out so well, higher-pitched shapes (something like 355433) sound far better in the progression.

What you can do is play the song on normal chords

G Em C D

But I am sorry that at one place you require an F and that's where I can't help you.

Or maybe you can try an F 7th instead of F. It looks pretty much like an open C (F 7 = 0-0-3-2-1-0). You can always cover that up by singing louder and playing softer on the not-so-accurate chords. (That's how I used to do years ago when I was a begginer running from tough chords)

Ofcourse the biggest problem with doing it this way is that you can't mute open chords properly and hence the same "feel" to the song cannot be attained.

What I would suggest is that if you reeeeeeeally like the song then you fight it out and learn to play all the chords on bars. That would actually help improve your guitaring skills.

hi every1...im a beginner i ges and sorta self teaching meself the guitar. it helps tht i play the piano so i can figure out the notes for the leads etc. but i dont know any of the technical stuff... like how and what is a hammer?
like do u need any particular thing 2 play that way or an electric guitar cos i only got an accoustic rite now ...
and is it better to play with or without a plectrum .?
and when your playin the lead how do you make the notes sound fuller? i saw some people playing the basic accompaniment chords and just playin the lead with their other free fingers while holding the chord. does that work at all?
