godamn taht is a cheap tactic for luring people ... :annoyed: really and at my company not following it ... :cry1:
Works both ways..earlier the trend was to discourage spouses working in the same workplace..now its the opposite...companies give out dating allowance and stuff..but seriously cars??..a bit too much.. @vini..who said Infy pays you well..they pay peanuts to freshers..you can barely survive on their starting salary in a city like Blore.. Me is happy at my place..pay is good for beginners and its kinda research oriented..at least I am using what I learnt at college....that is becoming increasingly rare these days...
Hahahaha That is hilarious I will try it from today too (though I dont work in IT). @ Jekyll..I think he did a lot of Floyd, yes
I work in Mergers and Acquisitions at Deutsche Bank Its horrible..I havent gone home before 1 am in the last two weeks On Satruday night I worked till 3 and then went straight to the airport ..reached Ahmedabad at 7.30...did summer recruitment and reached Bombay at 11.30 (sigh) Why did you think I work in market research?
^^^ the being online thing  some of my frends in IBanking - they dont have time for anything in life ... and a few in marketing have been pushed to remote areas of the world  so cudnt think of anything else, besides i didnt think that u were in HR ... M&A ... cool ... legal aspect? or financial? hye ron stop cribbing about Infy dude - that is their work - they havta get their job (maximum job) done in lowest possible cost ... tahts how they get the contracts from overseas ... we in product based companies might not feel the heat ... but the service market is really tuff ... i must say kudos to Infy Wipro n TCS ... they have done a gr8 job (ofcourse at the cost of their employees)
He he Yeah Ron...jobs are uniformly crap so the solutions are: 1) Keep doing crap job that can pay for your interests and do stuff you like in your spare time 2) Leave crap job and do something of your own I'm following method 1, Jekyll is planning to pursue method 2 Im in financing/valuations and pitching to clients etc Jekyll
wow abhijith ... thanx for making me a brave fellow - (option two thing : ) but i AM a coward to some extent ... so i am alos in the first category :cry1: oye wizard ... mast siggy hai: Khoob peeyenge hum, Tharra ho ya rum
HR Managers in IT have the biggest challenge of retaining their employees... And as a part of this industry...i myself look for self-motivation! Of course..when i land up in a job..i would have to look at many other aspects..but i mostly spend my time in forums...exchanging my know-how and helping others.. Especially on Linux front.. REgards, Zooom..!!
