I went thru about all the threads on this beautiful song. Am version, and G# Version didn't seem right. Bandbaaja's version is the only correct version on IGT. I took his intro and figured out the rest of the song. Although my Guitar is tuned a step down, but this is the correct version and sounds similar to the original song.

The intro lines below are taken from Bandbaaja's thread. I've taken out F#m to keep it simple (sorry BB!)
To play it right, each chords has to be played on the right syllable. I've tried my best in putting chord letters above the appropriate syllable. Must play barre chords to get the right feel. Or you can pick like I do.
As always, critiques and comments from the masters are welcome!!

    Suggestions Please..

I think you have not listened to the song.. cant you find the change in harminisation in the first line.. chord has to change from ajab si and again change at adaayein hai. Transpose it to any scale and play as you like. but please listen to the change in harmonisation or chords clearly. Again if you are taking it to F then please use diminished F it will sound better then playing F. .. F# min sounds ok with the work below.. Now try the work below.. it will sound better for sure.

Hi bhargavpandya, D is no where in the first line.
Viperrt74, I know the original scale. I just presented it in the scale that suits my voice. You never have to stick to the original scale to sing a song.
    Cheers mates! :)
