Hi Whoa, I love the entire medley ... you are right, RD simply rocks! Love your choice of songs ... Kishore and RD are simply the best ... and for guitar-based songs, I love all the songs from Yaadon Ki Baarat, Hum Kisise Kum Nahin, Ghar and Jawaani Deewani! Haven't tried out the chords as yet, my guitar is currently with my sir who said that he would repair it, the fretboard has apparently bent or something  - Raj.
dont have the song one me.. but i know the mil gaya chords something like.. Milgaya Hum ko Saathi Milgaya .. B............Baug................Abmin........B7 Hum se gar koi kah gaya B7...........Bmaj7.....E ho ho jalne de E6..E..E6....B that song is a copy of mama mia by abba.. except rd added a B7 in the prog.
of course rd copied.. so did shankar jaikishen and salil chowdry and lakshmi pyare.. it wasnt not just bappi lahiri or annu mallick.. its bollywood thats to be blamed.. not the music directors. bappi Lahiris first move was a classic.. chalte chalte etc.. annu mallik's first was soni mahivaal.. look what happned to anand milind after QSQT.. they started copying ilayaraja.. its the system.. that corrupts the minds.. its bollywood.. evil stinky bollywood... anyways iam fftopic: so i will
Yeah.. There has been numerous ocassions where all the music directors have copied. 'Mere sapano ki rani ' is nothing but the regular Tequilla tune slowed down with some tweaks here and there. I was listening to some world music fusion type of CD (recorded @ 90 ) and heard the exact same beats of Rangeela, Jaadoo song. So even ARR is not 'dudh ka dhula'. But its just that you have great respect for RD and it sucks to be reminded of the fact that even he copied some time. Sorry 'Bandbaaja'. Off topic. back to chords. Even I remember that there is a 7th chord in "hum se gar koi jal gaya" part. We had to change the scale to suit our singer's scale and I remeber playing C7 there. Anyways. Its a great post!
Hi Jay Yeah you're right about the changes. Bu the B B+ Abm B7 is the keyboard progression which a beginner, intermediate guy can leave out, so I avoided them. The idea was to make them play the songs, if they see too many changes and diminished and augmented there is a general scare ( which I used to face early on) Thanks for reminding me on the B7. Jay and Guru seemed to have overlooked
yea i am a kb player.. so.. can be nickpicky about things.. and chords for me dont mean triads :.. when playing the keyboards. but the thing is half the time when I actually play the guitar, i play only triads.. and not worry too much about m7 and m9s... and sometimes i dont even bother about majors and minors and just play power chords even on the acoustic guitar : .. in my opinion one can easily mask such trivial musical points with lot of attitude
