    Hey i have used some game engines in the past..... got it with CHIP...... it had the source code of QUAKE ..... get it it will be really good..... It had some 4 engines......

    true.. true.... game engines are a good way to start... do a google seach.... will find loads of free downloads with instruction manuals....
